I, Vee
I so completely overworked this. I was having way too much fun with the "batik" effect. Grr.

WOW. The color works really well with this pic, and I don't think you 'overworked' it, whatever that means. This is amazing.

By "overworked" I mean "I went detail happy with it and it looked better before I did" - plus I took off the top layer of paper by accident. :( But I'm glad people like it. :)

I'd say the only flaw is insufficient contrast, in that there's no dark point to refer to, save for possibly the hair. I'd still want a copy of it, anyway. What was it done with?

(and yes, I actually want a copy of this. Along with the Ammut, once the portfoilio [you mentioned] is done)

*nods* I know what you mean about the lack of contrast - I think that's something I'm going to go back and work on a bit more before I call it 100% finished. It was done mostly in a variety of Penman (I use the Classical Transparent) and Windsor&Newton inks - I think they're mainly supposed to be for calligraphy, but I enjoy the transparency of them, and usually treat them like watercolours. :)

And I'll have to see what I can do about prints. ;) I have a postcard sized version of Ammut already printed up, but I'm going to wait until BoY is released - I was testing a printing facility, and got 50 done for ludicrously cheap. I've also got the treepie and the halcine printed, in postcard form, and "Plans for World Domination" printed on magnets. Hurrah. I was thinking of bundling them all up together into little packages and sending them out as semi-promotional materials. ;)
