“Future Tense” (the third instalment) is kind of on hold, for now, as I’m planning my NaNoWriMo for this year; “Adverse Camber”. It is going to involve a couple of my OCs (Celerity, Slipstream and Firewire) but I won’t be uploading it here as I’m making it part of my own standalone series. A couple of canons get cameo roles, but they’re not actively named, as such. I'm thinking of doing Jill's meme as well but depending on how you look at it, I either don't have many TECHNICALLY "on the go", or else I have a bazillion.

*ponderations* In my research (I was looking up the technicalities of a sandstorm) I realised Scirocco and Mistral* (both types of wind) would be good names for twin Seeker girls.

No reason for this, just wanted to make the observation. :)

* Yeah I KNOW I already have a Mistral, but she's a parallel-universe duplicate of Tsueih, so she doesn't really count.

At last I can has a NIGHTSUN! One of the very first of the rabble to show up in my brain (I think he and Spotweld appeared together), but it's taken me almost a year to get a headshot of him on paper. HE HAS HEADPHONESS. I wanted to give him the looks of a helicopter pilot, hence the visor and headphones and stuff. I'm not sure if he's going to have one of those little microphones that sits alongside the mouth - it'd only be for effect anyway, because, well, robot. Snazzy little police helicopter.

And finally! OMG I MANAGED TO HALF-DRAW HIM BEFORE HE RAN OFF AND HID AMONG THE NEURONS. Lucy (channelling Lily Allen? *razz!*) and (half of) Deuce, who's looking a little long-suffering and why-is-she-climbing-on-me, but that's natural for him. BLESS. (I know, he's got the same sort of pose as Nightsun, but I no care. I just wanted to TRY and grab him on paper.)

Work = Ungh. *flops*

Bus = Bigger ungh. Nearly died on the way to work (for serious! That driver was a fucking rallydriver, he nearly hurt someone properly and they were ON the bus. *KEELS HEEM*)

I'm not normally superstitious but this is effing stupid. Now everything at home is afting well playing up. :( I got in from work and my fire alarm is making little "pip" noises and I don't know why - I was never given a manual for it, and it's mains-run so it can't be the battery. And... argh. *flail*

This is NOT what I wanted to come home to after a day of feeling blegh at work.

Update: It's the afting backup battery that's making it peep. *flails*

Update2: AAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrgh *flails* I CAN'T GET THE AFTING BATTERY COVER OFF. *rages around*
"Pull out power plug from back of smoke alarm"???? HOOOOOWWWW? *tears up the manual she just downloaded off the intertubes because the previous owner of the flat didn't leave it behind*
"Gently tug connector to be sure it is attached properly" - if hanging my whole considerable fecking weight off the thing didn't remove it, what's "tugging gently" going to achieve?!

Update3: AT FREAKING LAST. Battery has been changed. I swear, I will cry if this hasn't worked, because my hands really hurt from clawing at the thing now. :(
